Grand Guignol (pronounced grahn GEEN-yol) gets its name from the theatre from which it originated: Le Theatre du Grand Guignol in Paris, France. Traditionally, Grand Guignol Theatre was known for over the top sex farces and horror vignettes. Each year, Third Eye Theatre accepts submissions from playwrights all over the world, selecting new scripts which reflect the spirit of traditional Grand Guignol.
Third Eye Theatre is proud to be one of only three theatre companies in the United States to offer Grand Guignol performances as a permanent fixture in their season.
